tivist Gretchen G. Kelly. Kelly, who recently relocated to the Columbus area from West Palm Beach, Florida, said that they are glad to have Buch Harris as the host of the show. "Buck can carry the conversation and he is very knowledgable in the area of AIDS and HIV," she said.

Providing more than just the ABCs of AIDS education and awareness, AIDS Update is the first comprehensive 30 minute program in the Columbus area devoted specifically to the AIDS pandemic, which is projected to infect between 30 to 40 million people worldwide by the year 2000.

AIDS Update will regularly invite a panel of guests with personal expertise on HIV/ AIDS issues. Some of the guests featured in upcoming episodes include individuals from the Columbus AIDS Task Force, the AIDS Service Connection, Project Open Hand, the Red Cross, the Urban League, and Ohio State University.

Presented in an informational talk-show format, AIDS Update has mapped out and planned over 36 episodes, each focusing on a different topic. Such variety will indeed make AIDS Update a great resource of HIV/ AIDS information.

Kelly said that the show would not be possible without the team of dedicated volunteers and production support from Jerry Semas and Robert Cole. Semas said, "AIDS Update is devoted to the eradication of AIDS ignorance and apathy through better awareness and education."

When asked about her goals for the show, Kelly said, "If I can change one person's mind, or educate one person, I've done something."
